By accessing or using the MakeResume platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
MakeResume provides an AI-powered resume building platform that allows users to create, edit, and download professional resumes. Our Service includes:
• An interactive resume builder with multiple professional templates.
• AI-assisted content suggestions and optimization.
• ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility scoring.
• PDF and DOCX export capabilities.
• Cloud storage for your resume data.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information.
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with third parties.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use our Service.
You agree not to use the Service to:
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
• Transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or malicious code.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.

Our Content: The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of MakeResume and its licensors. Our trademarks, logos, and service names may not be used without our express written consent.
Your Content: You retain ownership of the resume content and data you create using our Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
Templates: Resume templates provided by MakeResume are licensed to you for personal use only. You may not redistribute or sell them.
Free Tier: We offer a free tier with limited features. Free accounts have restrictions on the number of AI enhancements and downloads.
Paid Plans: Paid subscription plans provide access to premium features. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected.
Billing: By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice.
The Service is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) defects will be corrected; (c) the Service or its servers are free of viruses or harmful components; (d) the results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MakeResume shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MakeResume and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request an export of your resume data before account termination by contacting support.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
